Oh, Fay Fay, my darling
blue Fay. What can I say?
How can I sum up your life in only a few
sentences? You loved your free
range, playing, sleeping and eating.
I'll never forget the time that I found an
empty Yogie cup in one room and a complete
stash under the couch in the other room.
Or the time when you had been free-ranging
for awhile and I couldn't find you.
I searched and searched. Where could
you hide in this little apartment?
Then I found you, in my closet on the top
shelf, curled up asleep in my wool
scarf. I quietly spoke your
name and gently petted you. You
woke, stretched, and gave me that look,
"What mom? I was comfortable
here!"
Everyone always loves the
stories that I tell them about our times
together. I know we'll both never
forget the look on that lady's face when
you were on my shoulder when we went
through the Taco Bell drive through.
You know I'll miss you
babe. I love you with all my heart
and can't help but tear up when I write
this. Go, be with your sister, she
will show you the way. I will see
you again when I cross the bridge. |
