Our policy for adopting breeding rats:

Application for Adoption

** Please read before you enquire about adopting rats on a breeding contract! **

• Do NOT just send me an email requesting rats - most likely it will not be answered.

• Too many times I get an email stating how wonderful my spotted rats are, how this person lives all the way across the country and wants to add my merles to their marked/diluted whatever line.

• This is not the way to get rats from me.  If I don't know you, you will not get breeding rats from me.

• If you want rats for breeding, here are some helpful suggestions:

• Fill out an adoption application as completely and honestly as you can.

• Send me an email describing yourself and your breeding practices.  The more I know the better.

• I like to start a dialogue with potential adopters and once I am comfortable with your breeding practices and adoption policies then I will feel more comfortable adopting rats on a limited breeding contract.

• If you feel that I am being too harsh, I can send you contact information of breeders who have been through this process and have successfully adopted rats on a breeding contract from me.
